Head+Rack Extra DeepSingle Head + Rack cases & Double Head + Rack cases
The starting point for ordering your Head/Rack case is to determine how deep the center section needs to be (this is the front-to-back measurement), not including the front & rear lids that are both filled with solid foam. First, measure the deepest piece of rack gear (including any wires or plugs you'll be leaving in) and add 1" to that measurement. (This is because we recess the front mounting rails by 1" to allow for knobs, switches, on the face of your rack gear). If this number is LESS than the depth of your amp head, you can order the case the SAME DEPTH as the head. If this number is MORE than the depth of your amp head, you need to order the case EXTRA DEEP. Example 1: Your MesaBoogie Rectifier head is 9 3/4" deep. Your deepest rack piece is 7" deep (including wires and plugs). Adding 1" to the 7" equals 8". This is LESS than the amp head, so your case can be the SAME DEPTH as the head. Example 2: Your MesaBoogie Rectifier head is 9 3/4" deep. Your deepest rack piece is 12 3/4" deep (including wires and plugs). Adding 1" to the 12 3/4" equals 13 3/4". This is MORE than the amp head, so you need to order your case EXTRA DEEP. The larger number (12 3/4") minus the smaller number (9 3/4") equals 4". You need 4" EXTRA DEEP for the case. NOTE: All rack gear is 19" across from left-to-right, BUT every piece is different from front-to-back, so your MUST measure, including plugs and wiring that you'll leave in. Each amp head is also different, so the above calculations are going to be different for each head and various rack gear. If you're not sure about ordering your case EXTRA DEEP, send us an e-mail from the Contact Us page in the left Information box. Include as much detail as you can, and we'll help you determine the right case. |
